Easter 2009
We had Easter with the family at our house. We hunted for lots of eggs and had lots of fun in the process.
Another thing I forgot
Remember when it snowed here in March 2009. It was so beautiful outside and I went to get my camera to take some pictures but my camera was fried. No idea what happened to it but it would not work. Mike dropped me, Jacob and Steven off at church for Sunday School and he went to Wal-Mart and bought me a new camera. So forgive me as I try to catch up with pictures from last year as they will start in March. See, I told you our year got off to a rocky start...LOL!

Year in Review
It has been a while, but I will do my best to try and catch up. This year has been a roller coaster ride for sure. I am praying for a much better 2010. In January, we had more testing for Matthew and I about had a nervous breakdown. Thankfully, all the test we wanted to be positive were and all the ones that we prayed to be negative were. We are currently seeing an endocrinologist once a year to monitor his height and weight, he may have a slight growth hormone deficiency. Steven graduated from Pre-School and started Kindergarten. Let me just say what an adventure that has been. We have already had to have ADHD testing done, but all seems OK for the time being. He has had after school detention once and been sent to the principal twice, so hopefully Christmas break will be good for him. Jacob has taken on all kinds of new adventures. He finished the fall out playing travel baseball on the weekends and football for Calera Middle School. He caught one touchdown pass but it was called back due to a holding penalty. The day after the football banquet, we started wrestling practice. Jacob is the 85# wrestler for Calera Middle, he is currently 3-a lot. This has been really challenging for him as this is hie first ever individual sport and he doesn't like to lose. He does get better with each match so if he sticks with it, by high school we should be OK. Mike and I are doing great! I changed jobs over the Summer, well I lost my job with Vulcan in April and finished out the school year subbing at my Alma Mater, Pleasant Grove High School. I was finally able to have my gallbladder removed which I had been putting off since I was pregnant with Matthew so I feel much better now!!! I am now working at Jemison High School in the cafeteria and I love it! I never dreamed how hard lunchroom ladies had to work, but boy do I know now. I have great co-workers and consider them all to be friends. I do still talk to my girls at Vulcan and we try to have lunch when I am out of school. Mike is still at the Country Club and as mean as ever, just kidding! I will try to go back and post some pictures from the past year while I am out of school for Christmas and I promise to try and do better next year. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Jesus is the Reason for the Season
Luke 2:1-14
And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.
(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.
