Jesus is the Reason for the Season
Luke 2:1-14
And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.
(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.

Marley's Birthday Party
Marley had her birthday party at Pump it Up! Jacob had a soccer game but Steven & Matthew had a blast. Me & Mike had a great time too.
Halloween
Well we had an interesting week. Saturday night, Mike got sick out of nowhere. Monday night Steven & Matthew had apparently planned a vomiting contest behind our backs, Steven won! WOOHOO!! He threw up about 8 times. Tuesday followed with Jacob getting sick and then you guessed I am the only one left & I got it on Wednesday. Gotta love stomach viruses! We weren't even going to do anything for Halloween but decided at the last minute we couldn't let the kids down and they really wanted to wear their costumes. Steven was a really cute little Spidey and Matthew made a most precious Zebra. Jacob has sorta out grown the costume thing but loves the "smart elic" shirts. This one said "This is my corny costume".

Matthew's Milestone
As many of you may know, our little Matthew has had some previous health issues. For those who may not know, here's the shortest version of the situation. Matthew went in for his 1 month check up on February 5, 2007. On that day he was admitted to Children's Hospital with partial malrotation of the small intestine. This diagnosis came based on several test that were done due to his lack of weight gain. Needless to say we were devistated. Matthew had his first operation on February 6, 2007 to unwind his intestines and remove his appendix (it would have been in the wrong place after his intestines were unwound). He could not take anything by mouth for several days. He then basically had to learn how to take a bottle all over again. We were getting ready to be discharged on February 12, when Dr. Barnhart discovered his incision had herniated. Back to the OR we go. Matthew had his second surgery on February 13, 2007. Dr. Barnhart even cried himself. We finally got to bring our little Matthew home on February 16, 2007. Since then we have been on our way to a healthy weight baby. Dr. Barnhart released Matthew in May 2007 with a clean bill of health. We have only had one trip back to the ER for a GI test, but it was just a virus. He has to be rushed in if he throws up yellow or green, colorful I know. The good news is, Matthew finally weighed 20 pounds, actually 21, at the doctor last week. WOOHOO!!! Dr. Hale was so excited and we were too. He does have an ear infection, so he is a little cranky. Other than that he is his regular, mean little self. One thing we learned through all of this, is God still heals everyday. We had only a little bump in the road compared to others. I thank God for our miracle and will pray that others who are waiting on theirs will soon receive them. Here are a few pictures of Matthew along the way. Thanks to everyone who prayed so much for us when we needed it the most. We would have never made it without you! We are proud of you Matthew, keep on eating and keep on adding on the pounds.

Steven's 4th Birthday (better late than never)
I am so sorry for being so late with this post. As you can see from the previous post we had a very unexpected death in the family and I completely skipped posting the birthday party. I am so sorry Steven Bug! Mommy does love you, I just couldn't get it together for a minute, well ok a month. But, I have it all back together now! Anyway, here we go with the party pictures. Steven is really loving Power Rangers right now, so that is what we went with. Unfortunately, my camera doesn't take pictures well with our blinds open in the house. You guessed it, every single one was open, DANG! Several of the pictures I took didn't turn out very well, but here are the rest.
